This presentation explores advancements in driving simulation related to the implementation of an innovative tire/road multi-contact ride model within a real-time driving simulation platform based on a HiL steering bench. The activity aims to demonstrate the enhancement in the fidelity of the driving experience due to an improved perception of the mid/hi frequencies coming from the road. The breakthrough lies in the translation of this vibrational information into haptic feedback for the driver, significantly improved thanks to a multi-physical ride model and to the simulator equipping the actual steering hardware.
