ENHANCING VIRTUAL RIDE QUALITY SUBJECTIVE ASSESSMENT USING FTIRE

Multimatic and Michelin have collaboratively parameterized Cosin’s advanced FTire model for use with VI-grade’s highly detailed Gridmesh road model and Driver-in-Motion technologies. Through an iterative process, the FTire model has been developed to accurately simulate a range of real-world ride characteristics, enabling subjective assessment of vehicle ride performance, including factors such as head-toss, choppiness, shake, and overall ride comfort earlier into the development cycle. This process facilitates extremely condensed development loops while maximizing performance outcomes and moves closer towards the ultimate goal of Zero Prototypes.
