Achieving tyre requirements for the best integration with high performance vehicles dynamics is the aim of Pirelli tyre development process. Virtual approach has become fundamental in order to meet the speed-up of the OEM's development process and to reduce the number of physical tyre prototypes, meeting also a green and sustainable approach. Today, thanks to the growing technology of driving simulators, the interaction with car OEMs for a virtual co-development is becoming a new standard at early design phases. In order to work with the higher standards, Pirelli is constantly improving its product development strategy through the tyre virtualization process, which starts with the virtual design and integrates the driving simulator as the end-point of the validation chain through subjective assessment. This approach enables the virtual tyre development and the continuous improvement of the driving simulation experience.
