SIMULATOR BASED VIRTUAL PROTOTYPING OF VEHICLE STEERING

Join Mercedes-Benz on its journey towards zero prototypes. Our presentation at the upcoming summit will showcase the latest advancements in virtual prototyping for vehicle steering and chassis development. The approach involves multi body simulation of the physical vehicle and software in the loop models regarding embedded controllers. Bridging the gap from objective to subjective assessment of the vehicles performance we utilize a driving simulator and digital proving ground to accurately represent the environment and providing an interface between a virtual prototype and driver. This project generates valuable insights with respect to the objective performance evaluation of hardware and software components as well as its acceptance, shedding light on the potential of virtual prototyping.
