Many of VI-grade customers have been relying on our Driving Simulators for years, making them an integral part of their vehicle development processes. The sudden failure of a component therefore not only represents an enormous safety risk, but also leads to significant delays in the entire development chain.
To enable our customers to exploit the full potential of their VI-grade Driving Simulators as well as to use them for as long as possible, regular maintenance activities are strongly recommended. For this reason, we have developed the VI-grade CARE and CARE+ programs, which go beyond standard preventative and corrective maintenance, offering our customers real added value.
CARE PROGRAM:
The VI-grade CARE program is the entry-level solution and includes the annual inspection of the driving simulator, focusing in particular on the setup of the simulator mechanical performance and the check of wearable parts. By fulfilling a regular maintenance schedule is it possible keep the machine in efficient conditions and to grant continuous performance reliability. In case a component needs to be replaced or due to wear and tear, it will be ordered after the inspection and replaced at the customer's expense.
In addition, the CARE program also covers the annual software upgrade installation, where VI-grade engineers will help the customer to install software updates and have them working with all driving simulator components.
CARE+ PROGRAM:
The CARE+ program is a fully inclusive maintenance program provided by VI-grade. As with the CARE program, the CARE+ program includes an extensive annual inspection of the driving simulator hardware and the software upgrades installation both performed by the VI-grade team.
Should the inspection reveal that a faulty component needs to be replaced, or in the unlikely event of a failure over the system operation, the customer will have quick access to an exclusive spare parts stock previously created by VI-grade. This way, the new part can be immediately exchanged, making the driving simulator fully operational again in the shortest possible time, thus avoiding delays in the customer’s entire development chain. In addition, 30% of the annual fee for the CARE+ Program is already considered an advance payment for the required spare parts.
If no hardware components fail and need to be replaced, 30% of the amount paid will be credited at the end of the year and carried over to the next year.
In summary, participation in the CARE+ program and the associated exclusive and immediate access to the spare parts stock guarantees our customers a smooth operation of their driving simulator throughout the entire year, unaffected by component delivery times or global supply chains.
